Sophia Lakhdar, Director of Sherpa, will join  the conference debate on the topic: “Govern and develop?” which will be held on 28 March 2014 at 8:30 pm in the room “parquet”, Cave des Unelles, in the framework of the 9th edition of the Journées Solidaires de Coutances (a solidarity festival) which will take place from 24 March to 2 Avril 2014.

What is governance? To what extent is governance a key factor of development or on the contrary an obstacle to development, especially in countries with weak institutions and rampant corruption fomented by public policies and by the behaviours of public and private actors?
