To empower the actors who defend the victims of globalisation, Sherpa participates in the circulation of knowledge and practices. Like legal research, capacity sharing activities feed into our legal actions and advocacy in a virtuous circle, increasing our impact. As well as taking part in events and conferences, Sherpa offers training and experience-sharing workshops and takes part in longer-term international projects.
Sherpa shares the lessons learned from years of legal proceedings, research and advocacy, the methods employed and the results obtained. This is shared with individuals and groups seeking inspiration to develop their own strategies for tackling economic crime. Sherpa draws on these exchanges to ensure the legitimacy and relevance of its actions and to increase their impact.
Convinced of the key importance of working together to bring about systemic change, Sherpa initiates and actively participates in networks that aim to create national, regional and international legal frameworks that are more protective of people, communities and the environment.
Discussion at Sherpa's workshops enables new partnerships to be formed, enabling legal research, advocacy, and legal action to be carried out in partnership. Sherpa also assists some of its partners in implementing their legal and advocacy strategies.
