Ending Corporate Impunity

See the latest

Whether it’s deforestation, forced labour, pollution or war crimes, many abuses are perpetrated by multinationals that put profit before human rights and the environment. By increasing the complexity of their value chains through subsidiaries, subcontractors and suppliers located abroad, these companies manage to dilute or completely avoid all forms of accountability. Sherpa is working to strengthen their civil and criminal liability, and to facilitate access to justice for victims.

Our priorities

Access to justice for victims

At a time when the people and communities affected by the activities of multinational companies are facing numerous obstacles to asserting their rights and obtaining compensation, it is necessary to facilitate their access to justice.

Environmental and climate damage

At a time of climate emergency, when the decisive role played by big business in the destruction of our ecosystems and climate change cannot be ignored, Sherpa is taking action to better prevent and sanction environmental damage caused by economic players.

Criminal justice and armed conflicts

Though multinationals can cause or profit from human rights violations, or exacerbate armed conflicts, they usually escape any form of liability. The law must evolve to remedy these legal loopholes and enforce effective criminal sanctions.
